                                            My Story
In the educational system, mentoring and coaching play a crucial role in unlocking the full potential of both teachers and students. This applies to certified educators as well as parents or caregivers seeking to support their family members.
My role involves providing guidance to individuals on how to leverage the Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, aimed at unlocking the full potential of students ranging from 3 to 99 years old.
While schools utilize Individual Educational Plans to identify student needs, they often lack specific guidance on how to teach these students effectively. This is the aspect I support in both schools and private homes.
I have undergone training in four Lindamood-Bell Programs between 2019 and 2023 and have applied these techniques while working with the Creative Language-Based Learning Foundation. Initially serving as a Literacy Clinician, Teacher Mentor, and later as a Coach until November 2023, I have experience working with students of various abilities, and I can attest to the effectiveness of the systematic, cumulative, and explicit instruction used in these programs, with gratitude to God’s guidance & intervention.
The Lindamood-Bell programs I have been trained in include:
1. Seeing Stars for Reading & Spelling
2. Visualization & Verbalization for Comprehension and Critical Thinking
3. On Cloud Nine for Math
4. Talkies for Expression and Thinking
Since the beginning of 2024, I have continued to offer guidance in literacy interventions by implementing whole-school reading intervention projects. This involves providing a structured approach for teachers and administrators to follow.
My overarching goal is to contribute to the realization of the Jamaica 2030 Vision. I firmly believe that Every Child Can Learn, and I am committed to playing my part to ensure that Every Child Will Learn.
